This Neewer SSD holder was so much nicer than I expected. It is made entirely of aluminum and all of the parts that make contact with your SSD have a layer of rubber that both grips and protects the drive.The included mount is designed to fit the SmallRig iPhone 16 cage's quick release system so it is proprietary to that system (I have yet to find another rail that is the same size as the one on SmallRig phone cages). However, if you do want to use this SSD mount for more than just your phone you can! The clamp comes bundled with two hex keys one thinner to remove the SmallRig mount and one that's thicker to mount the included two 1/4 20 screws through the two bigger holes on the main body of the mount (under where the SSD would go). This genious design allows you to mount a SSD to any nato rail or cage with 1/4 20 threads which I really love. I was not expecting to be able to use this on more than just my phone.The clamp itself is spring loaded and is easy to open yet grips the drive nicely and securely. Additionally there is a cable protector piece on the side that is fully adjustable as well. One knob controls the width of the cable clamp and another one moves the entire cable clamp up and down the side of the mount to match the location of your SSD's usb port.I really like this SSD holder. It is so well thought out, and being able to use it on my camera rig is a big bonus as well. I have been really impressed with Neewer products lately and this is no exception. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to expand their phone storage via SSD for mobil filmmaking.
