Purchased my 2019 Jeep Wrangler JL very early in 2020. Not many accessories or aftermarket parts had come out for it yet, including phone mounts. I do take the vehicle on off-road trips and wanted something stable and sturdy. Rugged Ridge offers this multi-dash phone mount system for around $55 - $65. It comes attached to the dash piece that fits directly into an existing compartment on the Jeep's dash itself, and also has a mount for a gopro (yaaay, I mean, I've never used it). However, the phone mount itself which is most undoubtedly used daily, on road and off, is the worst mount I have ever owned. If the phone wasn't jumping out at me due to a bump on the road or a railroad track crossing, (nevermind being on a trail!!!) then I was spending another $15 on a replacement phone mount piece, due to the cheaply and poorly made rubber grip pieces continually breaking off due to the constant attachment and detachment of the phone. For a "rugged" piece of equipment, supposedly ideal for off-roading vehicles, and a price tag over $50.... more than a bit disappointing. Heck... at least I got smart and thought I'll see what other mount I can find that will fit a 17mm ball! This one sounded good, so I gave it a try. Couldn't be more perfect! This is what Rugged Ridge should have designed. Phone doesn't even move while driving now. And with the thick rubber loops included on the phone mount as well to pull over each corner of your phone for even extra stability - hello off-roads!! And this was $10. Wish I had found you earlier <3. Bravo Garmin, bravo ?
