I don't usually review USB cables unless they're overpriced junk that's really annoyed me. But these are definitely NOT JUNK! I bought these March 4th; they arrived in the AM March 5th. Props to the courier. The set I bought included a short (0.5m/17in), medium (1.3m/4ft) and long (2.8m;10ft) cable. One end has USB-A right-angle ends with a bright green internal LED, and the other end USB-type C also right-angle with an internal green LED. The set cost $7.99 - the price has increased since March.BUYER BEWARE ALERT: there is a set of 3 cables with similar appearance, except 1) the maker's name is different, 2) One end is "small" USB type C, and the other an unfamiliar large connector - this may be a Lightning, or a "large" variant of USB-C. I have nothing for comparison, but the large end of those does NOT fit a USB-A female connector. (A discovery which brought some shocking bad language from an otherwise demure young lady, lol). In that set, all 3 cables are identical length, (1.2m/4 ft.), the connector housing is a sticky soft plastic, and the cable is not a braided jacket, just ordinary vaguely slippery plastic jacket. {A lady friend purchased that set - I believe not from Amazon but from retail storefront in far-away Toronto - and the quality was poor. One small cable end got hot enough to melt its plastic cover, then shorted out. So, "Beware of Imitations").I bought these cable specifically to fit a Motorola Moto-G Play 2023 phone, and the fit is perfect, even with a full-size OtterBox case/cover added. The LED's in the plugs illuminate when the USB-A end is connected to power; these are an amazingly bright green at both ends. This is good, because it reminds me to remove and keep the cable if charging away from my desk. The right-angle end at the phone is extremely convenient. I have an Encased Rebel Swivel Belt Clip case that's specific to my phone and 2 similar Motorola models, and the "small end" right-angle connector is not blocked while the phone is in the clip case section. This is good and bad; good that it fits; bad because at some point, I clipped the Encased Rebel case clasp onto an apparently solid piece of dashboard in my pickup truck, and during the spring thaw of back roads (season of many potholes) the "clip case" became an "unclipped case", and it's possible that the phone might have wound up hanging by the charging cable connector. It did not - fortunately - but the 'temptation' to hang the phone case up might not end well for the charging cable. I did not have a situation where the phone was hanging, but it's possible, and I don't know how much of a drop the power connector will tolerate. Probably best not to experiment.Having now used these daily for 4-1/2 months, I am very pleased with these cables. They are very durable, feel well-made, and the green internal LED is pretty as well as indicating that the circuit is live. That all by itself is a useful reminder. The USB Type-C connectors have stayed snug and unlike some micro-USB male cable ends, are very solidly attached to the polymer cover. The braided cable jacket is a nice touch, and actually helps when storing these cables in their original cardboard sleeves. They stay in the sleeve, rather than becoming briefcase spaghetti.I have not found any hot-spots, or felt anything that might be heading toward overheating. I've also tested the voltage at the "device" end and the voltage drop, even on the longest 10 ft. cable is negligible. I would buy these again; they could also be a good "stocking stuffer" at Christmas time. The Brand Name on these cables is "mcdodo" (odd!) and after seeing what happened to another cable - a non-Amazon brand of lesser quality, I would stick to this maker. The only downside is the price, which has doubled in 4 months. I realize that this is the free market at work. All the same, at $7.99 for the set of three high quality cables, these were a real bargain, and I have no hesitation in recommending this style from this brand. I can't speak to other connector styles, but the quality of manufacture of the set I bought suggests that good quality is probably the norm. Even at $16, if you want a really hard-wearing set of cables - that tolerate being wrapped/unwrapped, carried around, and plugged in and out many times, I think these are a good quality cable worth considering. I admit I have not bought other brands for comparison, but I'm really pleased with the quality and durability of the set. 5 Star buy, definitely.
